Is Donald Trump secretly vetting David Petraeus as secret weapon against the establishment and Hillary?

.

Former Military Hero and CIA Director could alter presidential election

One of our most highly decorated military leaders and Director of the Central Intelligence Agency is rumored to be under consideration for vice president by the Trump organization because of his unique standing as a stellar four-star general with a 37 year career in the military followed by a stint as head of the CIA.

Both President George Bush and President Barack Obama appointed Petraeus to top positions showing his support from both political parties.  He resigned as CIA director in 2012 when he acknowledged an extra martial affair and mishandling classified information with his biographer.

Eventually Patraeus pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor charge of mishandling classified information.

Ironically, his mishandling of a few classified documents by sharing them with his biographer who was writing a book about him was the extent of his indiscretion, yet it cost him a lifelong career of exemplary service to the nation.

At the same time, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton exposed tens of thousands of emails including numerous that contained classified and top-secret information by using a private email server in her house, documents that could have been hacked by enemies of America.  Her case is under active investigation by the FBI and has been for several years.

Should the rumors be confirmed Patraeus could bring tremendous credibility to the candidacy of Donald Trump, who is closing in on a stunning campaign to secure the Republican nomination for president and is facing a general election against Hillary Clinton.

Many intellectual elite from the national security, military, foreign affairs, and conservative wings of the Washington and news media establishment have panned Trump for his lack of credentials in these critical areas.  A running mate like Petraeus would go far in silencing the critics and enhancing Trump's status.

Embattled Hillary Clinton's Secret Weapon to win Election - Picks hubby Bill Clinton to be Vice President

.

With the polls sagging and the enthusiasm waning for the Hillary for president campaign, some think it will take a miracle to pull a rabbit out of the hat and win.

With all the top Republican candidates within single digits of overtaking her in the polls, and no end in sight to the drip-drip-drip of the email scandal, something dramatic, historic, and polarizing, like naming her husband her running mate, might be the only hope.

What are her options?  Assuming Biden does not jump into the race, and the Bill Clinton Foundation might give him a massive salary to retire and stay out of the race, the second ranking person in the Democratic primary is Bernie Sanders.

If elected, Bernie, at age 74, would be the oldest person to become president in USA history.  Ronald Reagan currently holds the record at age 69.  If Hillary picked him to be vice president, he would still be the oldest vice president in US history.  Alben W. Barkley at 71 years of age is the current leader.

Beyond the age issue, Bernie would be the first self-declared democratic-socialist to ever hold one of the top two offices in our government not to mention the fact he is not even a Democrat but a registered Independent.  In other words, forget Bernie.

What other choice is out there, and who better than Bill Clinton, who just might like the idea since he would have access to the power of the Administration again.  Hillary says she cannot control him and history backs her.

However, people have always underestimated the Clinton's and their proven ability to get people to forget what they have done at just the right moment to win.

There is no way Hillary will get past the email scandal just like there was no way Bill would get past smoking pot, but not inhaling, or declaring oral sex with intern Monica Lowinsky was not a sexual relationship.

When he was a candidate for president, his campaign was nearly derailed by the emergence of his longtime mistress, Gennifer Flowers, in 1992. Then came Paula Jones (claiming sexual harassment), Kathleen Willey (same), Juanita Broaddrick (rape) and, most famously, Lewinsky, the White House intern whose liaisons with Clinton led to his impeachment.

According to Lewinsky’s testimony in the Starr Report, the impeachment investigation, Clinton told her that he’d had “hundreds of affairs” early on in his marriage, but now he was trying to be faithful. That, she said, was the reason he gave for ending their relationship.

The former president has also been rumored to have had affairs with Barbra Streisand, Eleanor Mondale, Sharon Stone and most recently with a woman code-named “Energizer” by his Secret Service detail.

In spite of his rather colorful history, recent polls show Bill with a 64% favorable rating at a time when his wife has dropped from 59% when she was Secretary of State to 38-42% in recent polls.

Can Bill the magician save his wife's campaign and become the first President and Vice President family in history?  Why not?

Obamaville October 6 - Good Old Joe May Become Expendable Joe in 2012 - Joe Biden, VP

.

On the heels of Obama's strange Rolling Stone interview, yet another dismal jobs report today, Joe Biden's rather inflammatory remark about Republicans and Obama's speech yesterday when his Presidential Seal fell off the podium, comes a report from super Democratic sleuth Bob Woodward that the president is considering dumping good old Joe for Hillary in 2012 to have any chance of winning re-election.

The things people do to promote book sales. Have you noticed that all the Democratic insiders are rushing books to print before the midterm election? When you add the avalanche of new books written by all the liberal media, especially everyone appearing on the liberal bastion MSNBC, you might think their publishers realized if Obama loses big in less than four weeks there might not be a market for losers.

To his credit Obama handled the reaction to his interview okay by saying nothing knowing the liberal media would drop the story immediately to protect the president. As for the Presidential Seal falling he laughed that off in uncharacteristic Obama fashion as spontaneous humor is not his long suit. Here is how he handled it.

Biden's GOP remark, made in jest as most gaffes uttered by Biden, was quickly buried by the media as well. But Acording to a pool report from Tuesday’s event in Dayton, Minnesota Biden was telling the crowd that Democrats know how to balance the budget. He said, “If I hear one more Republican tell me about balancing the budget, I am going to strangle them.”

Of course VP Biden has a reputation for saying things. As Senator of South Carolina Lindsey Graham put it, "If there were no gaffes, there'd be no Joe."

So, here is a list of the top 5 Joe Biden gaffes of all times.

Biden tells wheelchair bound Missouri Senator Chuck Graham to stand up

1. Telling wheelchair bound Missouri Senator Chuck Graham to stand up to be recognized at a rally. "Chuck, stand up, let the people see you," said Biden at the rally. He then noticed the wheelchair and added, "Oh, God love ya...What am I talking about?" He tried to mend the situation and got the whole audience to stand up for Graham.

2. Calling Obama "Barack America." While introducing Barack Obama at a rally in August of 2008, Biden said, "This election year, the choice is clear. One man stands ready to go for change we so desperately need. A man I proudly call my friend. A man who will be the next President of the United States -- Barack America..."

3. Another Biden's gaffe that made Obama uneasy came at an anti-HIV rally. When Biden was asked about AIDS prevention in young people, he started talking about denial and "lack of honesty." He than launched his tirade about the importance of testing saying, "I got tested for AIDS. I know Barack got tested for AIDS. There is no shame in being tested for AIDS..." The audience broke out in laughter, and Obama had to make a correction and say that he got tested for AIDS along with his wife Michelle after traveling to Kenya.

4. Biden was caught on amateur camera talking about an elusive connection between Dunkin' Donuts and Indian people. "In Delaware, the largest portion of the population is Indian-Americans," said Biden. "You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.... I'm not joking."

5. The one gaffe that actually had some consequences and required immediate clarification from the press relations office was when Vice President Biden talked about the swine flu on NBC's Today show. While addressing the issue of prevention, Biden said, "I would tell members of my family - and I have - I wouldn't go anywhere in confined places now. It's not just going to Mexico, if you're in a confined aircraft and one person sneezes it goes all the way through the aircraft. That's me. I would not be at this point, if they had another way of transportation, suggesting they ride the subway. If you're out in the middle of a field and someone sneezes, that's one thing. If you're in a closed aircraft or a closed container, a closed car, a closed classroom, it's a different thing." Biden's spokeswoman had to issue a statement after the interview saying the Vice President did not mean to unduly alarm anyone. However, representatives of air carriers expressed their frustration, saying air travel was still safe.

At any rate, gaffes are frequent with Good Old Joe which might be why the White House is considering dumping him for Hillary in 2012. Of course the White House quickly denied the report by Woodward just a few days after saying Woodward was accurate in his book on Obama's War that was filled with inside information, some controversial. So do we believe Bob Woodward or not?

Sarah Palin Free at Last

-

After going through the worst case of media assassination in memory Sarah Palin got the last laugh when she abruptly and unexpectedly resigned as Governor of Alaska. It was a move attacked by the media and liberals but praised by the Republicans and general public.

Her experience since being nominated as vice presidential candidate by John McCain was a low point in media reporting in American political history and the character assassination by Obama supporters and pro-abortion bloggers set a new low in dirty politics.

Now free of a government job which she was accused of neglecting with her political activity, a fact that was also true of both Obama and Biden as they were US Senators when they campaigned fulltime yet the media never ever attacked them, she can now set her own agenda.

As the only one of the top four candidates with unqualified support for pro-life she received the wrath of the pro-abortion and feminist forces who worked so hard to cover up the fact there have now been over 50 million abortions in America.

Of course the pro-abortion forces argued that cases of rape, the health of the mother and child were primary considerations in getting an abortion yet extensive studies determined that less than 5% of all abortions fell in those categories. Sarah Palin could see through the lies and tell the truth and she paid a price for her honesty.

In spite of Obama's demands that his children be left out of politics his supporters unleashed an avalanche of lies and innuendo about Palin's kids, themes picked up by the liberal Late Night Butchers like David Letterman. All in all it was a sad chapter in American politics.

Perhaps now that Palin is free of the demands of office that forced her to incur over $500,000 in legal fees defending herself against baseless charges by the liberals she will be able to fight back. She is without doubt a popular rising star who drew the largest crowds in the last part of the campaign and ever since.

Rapping with VP Biden - Next in Line for Presidency

In order to protect the Vice President from making one of his legendary blunders we are going to conduct our interview by asking him questions but only allowing him to respond with facial expressions, no words can be used. The White House should be much more at ease with this technique as no international incidents should result.

Mr. Vice President, what do you have to say about your connections to the credit card industry?

No comment huh. Well how about the fact your son is on their payroll and was when you were championing the bill to strip consumers of their rights on behalf of the credit card giants?

Well excuse me. So how is it being in the shadow of the much younger Barack Obama?

Do you feel the same way about most other Obama appointees?

Could you pelase help us understand how you are communicating with the President when you two always seem to be passing in the night?
What do you think about your predecessor Dick Cheney?

Do you have the ear of the president when it comes to our nation's business?

How do you get along with Hillary now that she travels the world grabbing headlines and you seem to have vanished?

Since you no longer have to commute from Delaware how long is your commute to your office now?

What do you think of that French President's wife?

Obama President - Palin Vice President - What if the electoral vote is tied?

In this one of the most bizarre presidential campaigns in history with either the first African American or the first woman elected to the highest offices in our land, why not see both of them elected? Don't say "no way" until you check the facts. Twice in our history a president failed to get enough electoral votes and the House made the final decision, in 1801 and 1825. Once in our history the vice president failed to get the required electoral votes and the Senate selected the vice president. Amendment 12 was passed to fix the ambiguities of the Constitution after the 1801 election. A full text of Article II and Amendment 12 follow later in this story.

Right now the election is too close to call. There are 538 total electoral votes and 270, a simple majority, are needed to get someone elected. It is technically possible for the election to end in a tie, with Obama and McCain each getting 269 electoral votes, one shy of the majority needed to be president. If that happens, then the election of the president is up to the House and the vice president up to the Senate.

Each state delegation is expected to vote according to their party affiliation but each state only has one vote in the total votes cast. Thus the House would vote for Obama since there is a clear House majority of Democrats. In the Senate there is a tie between Democrats and Republicans, each with 59 members, while two other Senators are independents. Joe Lieberman, a very close friend and endorser of McCain, is an independent who joined the Democrats to give the Democrats control of the Senate.

Because of Lieberman's support of McCain the Senate democratic leadership have threatened to strip him of any party rank in the new Senate. So if the vice president is to be decided by the Senate, Lieberman could easily change his vote, thus eliminating the Democratic majority. If he cast his vote for Palin it would decide the election.

The result would mean Obama would be president and Palin would be vice president for the next four years and given an electoral tie there would be no other probable conclusion. With the polls closing as expected in these last days such a scenario becomes more and more possible. There are so many firsts in this election, not to mention worldwide economic catastrophes and other strange circumstances, that a result as I outlined may not be so far fetched.

Here is what the Constitution says about the election of the president and vice president in Article II and the procedure is quite clear.

Article II

Section 1. The executive power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his office during the term of four years, and, together with the Vice President, chosen for the same term, be elected, as follows:

Each state shall appoint, in such manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a number of electors, equal to the whole number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or person holding an office of trust or profit under the United States, shall be appointed an elector.

The electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for two persons, of whom one at least shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves. And they shall make a list of all the persons voted for, and of the number of votes for each; which list they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate. The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates, and the votes shall then be counted. The person having the greatest number of votes shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of electors appointed; and if there be more than one who have such majority, and have an equal number of votes, then the House of Representatives shall immediately choose by ballot one of them for President; and if no person have a majority, then from the five highest on the list the said House shall in like manner choose the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by States, the representation from each state having one vote; A quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice. In every case, after the choice of the President, the person having the greatest number of votes of the electors shall be the Vice President. But if there should remain two or more who have equal votes, the Senate shall choose from them by ballot the Vice President.

Amendment XII

The electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice-President, and of the number of votes for each, which lists they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate;--The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted;--the person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of electors appointed; and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice. And if the House of Representatives shall not choose a President whenever the right of choice shall devolve upon them, before the fourth day of March next following, then the Vice-President shall act as President, as in the case of the death or other constitutional disability of the President. The person having the greatest number of votes as Vice-President, shall be the Vice-President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of electors appointed, and if no person have a majority, then from the two highest numbers on the list, the Senate shall choose the Vice-President; a quorum for the purpose shall consist of two-thirds of the whole number of Senators, and a majority of the whole number shall be necessary to a choice. But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.

Liberal Media's Code of Omertà Fails to Silence Sarah Palin

The seemingly secret pact between the liberal media and the Obama campaign to block all news coverage and reference to Sarah Palin is failing if we can believe our eyes. It is failing because MSNBC, ABC, The New York Times and the host of other left-leaning media just don't get it, the people of America are not going to let the media tell them who to support.

This past weekend Sarah Palin held a rally in Florida, one of the critical swing states, and there was a virtual media wall of silence about the event. MSNBC had the audacity to only report Palin said "Goodbye to thanks but no thanks," a direct reference to the Alaska bridge to nowhere. Of course MSNBC would have been a little more honest if they said in the end Palin refused to approve the project. They might have been more honest yet if they told you Obama and Biden both voted for the bridge to nowhere but that is the truth and we know the American people aren't ready for the truth.

Not a word was mentioned in the MSNBC report about the rally in Florida, a rally in which the largest crowd to ever witness a vice presidential candidate gathered to see Palin. According to the local Fire Chief Mike Tucker over 60,000 people attended. Only Obama's convention speech drew more and the Obama campaign spent over $8 million to stage that event. Sarah Palin didn't have top spend millions of dollars to draw a crowd. The media did nothing to help make people aware of the event or let the rest of the world know what did happen.

Did I mention that Obama is running for president? The 60,000 screaming, chanting fans of Sarah Palin know all about the liberal media's policy of Omertà and how it is intended to help the liberal Democratic ticket. The people responded by turning out in record numbers. Now that is hard news. The idiotic efforts of the media to dictate the results of the election and protect the leftist movement in America so they can bring about a more socialist government will backfire and their coveted policy of Omertà is going to be drowned in a chorus of chants, "Sarah, Sarah."

Liberal Elitists of the World Unite - Intellectual Constipation Reaches Epidemic Proportions

Are all liberal media elitists and their army of mouthpieces intellectually constipated? There is a chorus of condemnation today toward Sarah Palin from everyone that hates Republicans, mothers, mothers with children, mothers with down children, mothers with sons in the war, religious mothers, feminists opposed to abortion, feminists opposed to fanatical feminism, conservatives, small town, Alaskan, moose hunting, oil drilling and whatever else the latest smear may be.

Wake up eggheads, Sarah Palin got it right, you got it wrong. The Bush Doctrine is not preemptive strikes as ABC News and Obama backers shouted all over the cyber world. The Bush Doctrine, if any of you have any interest in the truth, is the National Security Strategy of 2002 that identifies the US position concerning terrorism and includes four pillars in the struggle.

The four pillars include (1) rejection of moral relativism and commitment to fostering the spread of democracy in the Middle East, (2) treating terrorism proactively, on a global basis, and not as law enforcement issue, (3) willingness to engage in preemptive attacks against terrorists and terrorist supporting states, and (4) unwillingness to support a Palestinian state until Palestinian leaders "engage in a sustained fight against terrorists and dismantle their infrastructure."
Palin addressed the global view on terrorism, and she was right. She even asked Gibson to be more specific when he asked about the Bush Doctrine and he didn't change the question. Finally, he clarified his question, acting like a professor correcting a student, and said the Bush Doctrine was preemptive strikes. Guess what professor, wrong! You left out the other three pillars.

You also didn't correct Obama when ABC News on Rick Klein Reports asked Obama about the Bush Doctrine back on July 26, 2007. Obama said Clinton would continue the "Bush Doctrine" of only speaking to leaders of rogue nations if they first meet conditions laid out by the United States. No mention of preemptive strikes, no mention of the Obama mistake on such a critical national security issue and he was a sitting US Senator running for president.

Now are there dual standards in this race? Are female VP candidates expected to know what US Senators don't know. Can the news media simply call them wrong when they are right? Is there no requirement for the news media to check the facts? Perhaps the media madness that prevails within the Washington elite establishment should be cleaned out first.

Sarah Palin, Governor

Wow, McCain nominates a woman governor, Sarah Palin to be vice president and the democrats and liberal media come unglued. So for the record you members of the left including the folks at NBC TV, CNN, NPR, The New York Times and every other hotbed of socialism say a governor is not qualified to be president.

Well the media and liberal left has certainly ignored recent history to make such an unsubstantiated claim in order to smear the new VP candidate. Where in the world have these experts been the past 32 years? During that time governors with NO federal experience have been elected President of the United States by the American electorate in 28 of those 32 years. Four of the past five presidents have been governors with no federal experience.

That's not all. The federal government has 2.7 million employees, the governors have 5.1 million. The feds spend 2.5 trillion while the governors spend 1.7 trillion. Hummm. Twice as many employees at the state but half the spending. Perhaps the governors know what having a balanced budget means. And just so there is no misunderstanding, Congress is controlled by the democrats, not by Bush.

So now the first female governor to be nominated comes along and suddenly governors are not qualified to be president? What about Reagan, Clinton, Carter and Bush? Maybe the liberals don't think governors can handle it but the American voter sure knows better.

Speaking of the eastern liberal media in America, they should also remember that no eastern president has been elected in 48 years. What the socialists say is good for America is not what the voters think. Don't know what they put in the water out east but it sure isn't democracy, individual rights and freedom.

I think the rush to bury Sarah Palin is a huge tactical mistake by the liberal media and the more liberal democrats.

Vice President Picks by CPT

The Coltons Point Times has already offered the best running mate for Barack Obama, Sam Nunn from Georgia. We stand by our choice and are confident he would greatly enhance the Democratic ticket because of experience, leadership, knowledge of foreign and economic affairs and ability to step in as President if necessary.

As for the Republican ticket, we believe McCain should pick Mitt Romney of Massachusett, a successful buinessmen and governor and expert on the economy whose youth and energy will complement McCain.

Both candidates will greatly aid their respective tickets and the US will be assured of a strong, responsible, moral ticket to lead our nation. In the next few days we shall see.
