Trump Questions Hillary Campaign about Huma Abedin and husband Anthony Weiner, Master at Wiggle Room Antics

.
Weiner campaign fleet
It did not take long for Trump to add Huma Abedin and her husband Anthony Weiner to his list of why Washington, D.C. has lost touch with America.  This time he focused on the fact she, like Hillary, worked for the government yet also used the Clinton private email server for sensitive business.

Of course this always makes the story more interesting and did not even mention Huma might have been working for the Secretary of State and the Clinton Foundation at the same time, a potential conflict of interest.

The following was a report in the Coltons Point Times on Anthony Weiner from 2013.

So he had so much pride in his rather limited physique that he lit up the Internet with his nude self-portrait photos.  That was when he was a Congressman from New York.  When the photos, hardly an asset for such an ass, were exposed so to speak he was forced to resign from Congress.

A year later, knowing what the people were missing not having him in public office, the Weiner man is running for Mayor of New York City and his campaign slogan must be "It's time for change - make the Big Apple the Bigger Banana" or some such nonsense.

Once again he gets caught when his I phone again gets fascinated with his perceived Rambo body and he can't resist the empowerment of sharing his joy with the women of the world.

So once again we have a mea culpa for a mea big opinion of ones' own self.  This time he had to recruit his wife.

In a public statement that one political strategist said hearkened to the Hillary Clinton days, Huma Abedin said Tuesday she’s forgiven her husband, former Rep. Anthony Weiner, for his sexting scandals — including the latest, which went public this week — and said most marriages encounter difficulties and challenges.

“Our marriage, like many others, has had its ups and its downs,” she said, in what The New York Post reported was her first speaking engagement at a press conference. “It took a lot of work and a whole lot of therapy to get to a place where I could forgive Anthony.”

Huma Abedin is a well respected aide to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and this time her awkward defense of her goofy husband seemed far more political than personal.  One could only wonder how she could let herself become such a ripe subject for yet another tragic country song and not kick his skinny butt out the door.

It is sad.

Sad for his well meaning wife.  Sad for his son who was born between his two disgraceful episodes of cyber sex simulation or whatever you want to call it.  Sad for the Jewish community of New York City he claims to represent and sad for the voters of New York City who hardly need another ego driven sex freak on the public dole.

Obamaville July 28 - The Calm before the Storm - Dark Clouds on the Horizon

.

Campaign 2016

The clock keeps ticking with about 16 months left before the general election in November 2016 and already the political silly season has started.

The Republican candidates for president see nothing but Red and the Democratic candidates see nothing but Blue and I do not mean in terms of states on the election board.

Why is it the GOP gang of 16, 17, 18, or whatever cannot just leave Obama out of the election?  No one can change history and Obama did break a huge barrier when elected as our first African American president.  If he did nothing else, it was a significant historic achievement.

Many Americans did not approve of his agenda, his foreign policy, his intellectual indifference and other things but Obama is not going to be president any more.  American decency suggests the herd of candidates should focus on explaining what they would do as president, instead of threatening to tear down everything President Obama accomplished.

If I remember correctly, Obama got elected twice to serve as Commander and Chief of all the people and we owe our president respect if nothing else.  The GOP candidates seem incapable of giving us their agenda for the future choosing instead to mount goofy and demeaning attacks on every last thing the president says or does.

Of course, the National Republican Party just magnified the political partisanship when they limited the GOP debates to the top ten candidates leaving at least half a dozen out in the cold.  They could have had two debates of nine each to showcase all the candidates but no, that makes too much sense.

The only result was all the candidates turning up the volume and competing for who can make the most outrageous and incendiary sound bytes to the media in an effort to boost them into the top ten for the debate.

The GOP has no stranglehold on stupidity, however, as Hillary has flip flopped so many times already her Democratic base has no idea what she advocates.  She pleads she is a pauper with $200 million in the bank as she raises $2 billion for the campaign.  Duh...

Her wobbly and Pollyanna-like explanations for violating federal law by keeping top-secret files on her home computer, then erasing all the records before anyone could check her drive, may be one of the biggest blunders in presidential campaign history.  This was her election to lose and she is doing a very good job at it.

Running our Government
Now that the Republicans have control of both Houses of Congress, nothing has changed, much like Obama's first two years when the Democrats controlled both Houses.  It is a miracle when any little thing good happens in our nation's capitol and that is a very sorry state of affairs.

Campaign Finance Reform

The failure by Obama, the Democrats, the Republicans, and the presidential candidates to address campaign finance reform is tantamount to criminal neglect and insures the one to three percent of the people with all the wealth in America will continue to control our politicians like puppets on a string.

Foreign Policy Follies

The Obama administration foreign policy of negotiation with our enemies has resulted in a policy of appeasement and undermined whatever international credibility we might have had in the world.  Instead of a Super power, we are a Super wimp, and it may take generations to get past the morass.

Dark Economic Skies

After seven years of empty promises from Obama and both parties, Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid will still bankrupt our nation in time.  Our health care is the most expensive in the world and we still rank around nineteenth in terms of quality of service.

All the stock markets are the playground of the rich and pushed Joe six-pack out of the market with computers and crooks, crooks the Obama administration has failed to prosecute.  We still have a lot of corruption, discrimination, and even human trafficking, but we never miss a chance to blast other nations for their faults while ignoring our own.

International Terrorism

Terrorism thrives because of the foreign policy stupidity of both political parties.

Wish you voted different?
Economy

Our economy may very well be on life-support, as only the rich seem to have benefited from the economic recovery.  If the American public no longer has faith and trust in our many institutions it is for a very good reason, they do not deserve it.

Hope or a Dope

Still I have hope and remain optimistic that in the end the people will regain control of their government and force our politicians to fix the mess.

The Silent Majority

I never lose sight of the fact that when Obama won re-election in 2012 by the largest margin in his two campaigns, he still only won the overwhelming support of just twenty-six percent of the eligible voters in America.  An astonishing seventy-four percent of the eligible voters did not support him or his agenda.

One day all of our silent majority will finally register and vote and when they do all the money and professional politicians in the world will not be able to stop the tidal wave of reform the people will unleash on America.

Obamaville June 17, 2015 - Sports Trumps politics and Trump - Golden State

.

On a day when The Donald showed up with his hair in Trump Tower to announce he has decided to let the people finally have a chance to vote for him, Trump's event was trumped by the largest crowd since the glory days of Michael Jordan.

The Golden State Warriors trumped LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA finals while Trumping Trump and all the politicians for headlines.

In the process Stephen Curry and the Warriors brought home their first title in 40 years while Coach Steve Kerr, who was a teammate with Michael Jordan when MJ won his last of six titles in 1998,  became the second coach in history to win the championship his first year coaching.

As if that was not enough, this year the television ratings soared, up by around 25%, as the games surpassed 20 million viewers and most likely it was the second largest audience in history to, yes, the Michael Jordan 1998 title.

The only drawback to the rags to riches story of the Warriors was the media fascination with crowning LeBron James King James.  There is no doubt James is exceptional, but the media tended to go brain dead from a historical standpoint and were very biased against the feel good team from out west.

Crowning LeBron the best ever showed total ignorance of some mighty powerful facts.  Bill Russell won 11 NBA titles in 13 years including eight in a row and ten out of twelve over one span.  Thirty-eight players have won four or more titles.

LeBron has been to the finals six times and walked away with two titles.  Michael Jordan won all six title games in which he played.  Most likely LeBron is the greatest player currently playing but he is yet to elbow his way into the "greatest of all time" club.

Golden State did have one of the greatest records of all time for the season and the discipline, depth, desire, and drive of the team made them the consensus favorite contrary to the media preoccupation with LeBron.  Golden State delivered when it counted.

In terms of side stories and intensity, it was one of the greatest series of games played in the championship series and a far cry from the scandals plaguing other teams and sports.

Along with the Triple Crown victory of American Pharoah, the first in thirty-seven years, it was a good month for sports to knock politics out of the headlines and consciousness of America.

America thanks you American Pharaoh and Golden State.

Eisenhower - Reagan - Romney - are we ready for a peacemaker?

.

Just after the war to end all wars, World War II, America needed a break, a time to rest, a moment in time when we focused on rebuilding our nation and not saving the world.  To accomplish that the public turned to someone who was not a typical politician, was not partisan and believed in America before political party.

They elected 63 year old Dwight Eisenhower in 1952 and for 8 years we got peace and prosperity.

Later when the American public was fed up with Viet Nam, student riots, civil rights riots, and the capture of 58 Americans in the Iranian revolution once again we longed for a time of peace and prosperity.

They elected 70 year old Ronald Reagan in 1980 and for 8 years we got peace and prosperity.

As we near the 2016 presidential election once again Americans are tired of the decades long wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the world dependence on America, and a tragic economic collapse and painfully long recovery.

If history repeats itself and the latest polls indicate there is a high probability, then the American public will elect the 70 year old Mitt Romney and will get 8 years of peace and prosperity.

Americans long for peace and prosperity.  They long for an end to vicious partisan bickering in our capitol.  They are fed up with the Democrats blaming the Republicans and Republicans blaming the Democrats for everything that doesn't happen in Washington.

They long for a fair minded, proven, successful individual who has achieved success not as a politician but as a businessman, as a champion for non-profit causes, as a genuine family man and someone who can actually talk to the other political party members.

We long for someone not beholden to the special interests and lobbyists who control Washington, our politicians and our government.  Of all the potential candidates for 2016 only Mitt Romney meets the criteria.

He was battle tested in the most vicious and unethical presidential campaign in history.  Over a billion dollars was spent to destroy him and his career and looking back, the American public pretty well recognizes they made a serious mistake in electing Obama.

Mitt Romney handled the quagmire with dignity, class and a commitment to family and religious values not apparent in his opposition.  He handled defeat with grace recognizing that in spite of the tremendous political mudslinging and the avalanche of money on the part of Obama, not to mention he was the sitting president with the resources of the entire federal government at his disposal, Romney only lost by 3.9%.

Only about 58% of the registered voters turned out they were so fed up by politics.  If 1.96% more had turned out and voted for Romney he would have been president.  But Divine Providence surely had other things in mind like giving Obama a chance to govern and he has pretty much squandered that opportunity.

Since Obama is persona non grata to even Democrats who are running from association with him, he is most likely a non-factor for the rest of his term and could be more liability than asset to any Democrat running.

Now Hillary Clinton, the only Democrat aspirant to the presidency, having declared the Clinton legacy right to the Oval Office, has blocked any Democrat from even exploring the waters.  In fact her recent book tour meant to pave the way for her coronation back fired and Hillary has already lost 15% of her favorability rating this year.

But the delusional left continue to make hay of her power.  So let's look at the real numbers and not the rarefied raging of the left.

In the New Hampshire poll this week, that state being one of the first major tests for presidential hopefuls, Hillary led good old Joe, Biden that is, 59% - 14%.  That doesn't say much for Obama's sidekick and the Clinton groupies declared her the winner of the primary, the nomination and the vote for president although we are still 2 1/2 years away.

Of course after the run of bad luck the liberals experienced with the CHOSEN ONE Barack Obama, whose popularity is in a freefall since he is caught in a time warp and still running against George Bush in a presidential campaign back in 2008 rather than governing the nation he was elected to represent, so the fickle left bank has put their money behind Hillary.

They forget she is no more left than her husband wild Bill whose political platform was what ever was necessary to look like he was doing something and avoiding impeachment.  His major accomplishments came out of the Republican playbook and he, like Obama and his wife, long ago sold out to Goldman Sachs and that dastardly gang from Wall Street.

English betting odds for president
The really revealing data in the poll came when Democrats were asked who they would vote for if the primary election were held today.

In January, Clinton brought in 73% support among Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents, according to a Washington Post/ABC News poll.

But, in Thursday's survey, only 13% of Democratic respondents says they've definitely made up their minds about 2016, and 77% said they're still trying to decide.

So Hillary has been on the national scene in Democrats face since 1992, was First Lady for 8 years, U.S. Senator, presidential candidate and then Secretary of State and only 13% of Democrats have made up their minds about who they will support?

Polls can be interpreted many ways but when 77% of the Democrats don't know who they want as candidate at this late stage in her career, the mythical Clinton stranglehold on the Democrat party seems to be fading in the mists of reality.

On the Republican side there are a number of good candidate bunched together.  But maybe the public does not think they are ready to be president yet.  Republican voters in New Hampshire have anything but a clear-cut GOP nominee in mind.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie leads other potential GOP White House contenders at 19%. He's followed by Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky at 14% and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at 11%. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida and 2008 GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee tie in the poll at 8%.

And then there is the Romney factor.  More and more voters are starting to realize the country might have been better served by Mitt Romney than Barack Obama.  Certainly there was no question of the vastly superior Romney experience and credentials.  And the latest poll in New Hampshire shows just how powerful the only non-candidate for president is at this time.

The poll shows that if Mitt Romney, the 2012 GOP presidential nominee, decides to take another stab at the Republican nomination, he would start with a big lead over the rest of the field.

New Hampshire is the second stop on the presidential nomination calendar and hosts the first-in-the-nation primary.

But if Mr. Romney changes his mind and decides to run again, 39 percent of likely primary voters said they would vote for him, with Mr. Christie and Mr. Paul tying in a distance second with 7 percent.

Not only does Romney offer all the strengths Obama lacked like leadership, the ability to work with Democrats when he was governor of Democrat controlled Massachusetts, a real religious foundation, a strong family life, but he is a genuinely nice person, something rare in politics today.

I sense a mighty movement to draft Romney and elect him as the next Eisenhower/Reagan peacemaker who will restore prestige to the office of president, will return class to politics and regain faith in our foreign affairs from the rest of the disheartened world.
