Enough whining - the People Spoke - Donald Trump is our President

.

With almost all votes finally counted for president, the results demonstrate the widespread route by Donald Trump among the 50 states, which will make him our 45th President.

Trump wins Electoral vote by 306-232
Clinton wins popular vote by 2,357,260

Clinton wins California by 4,187,903
Trump wins remaining 49 states by 1,830,643

Clinton wins California and New York by 5,697,409
Trump wins remaining 48 states by 3,340,149

So far, the Trump victory has defied the media projections,

defied the polls,

defied the political pundits,

and left a lot of Hillary supporters in shell shock.

America has not broken out in civil war.

Our economy has not collapsed as the financial experts warned.
In fact, our financial markets have shattered all time records.

Nations around the world have not panicked or been traumatized.

It is about time for a deep breath in our Republic, and let Donald Trump demonstrate what kind of President he intends to be.

For all those who think someone should be president if they win one or two states by a landslide and ignore the rest of the states, you need a crash course on America, our Constitution, and the history you obviously missed.

American Elections 1 - Tips for International Followers - Where can you find the truth?

.

International interest in the American election is intense, and no wonder with all the debate and discussion on policies that may influence our international relations.  However, if international readers understand the implications of what you learn about the election, you may not be so concerned about the outcome.

Here in the colonies, if you are a citizen of the Midwestern United States, the Rust Belt around the Great Lakes, the South or Southwest, and even the Pacific Northwest, the odds are you are not paying much attention to the current presidential election.

In this day and age of constant 24-7 bombardment of the mind by the television news channels and the Internet news sources (???) most folks in those regions of the nation long ago learned to ignore the media and senseless babble spewing forth from the media.

Now do not get confused, these people are very aware.  Yes, they follow the actions of government and politicians in the American scene.  However, when it comes to politicians running for office, and news media coverage of said events, well that is quite another story.

The truth is the majority of people in the USA long ago turned off the television news and stopped reading the newspapers recognizing that journalism lost it's way and is corrupted.  Since the news media will never tell you the truth, ask yourself why very few cable news or commentary shows get over three million viewers, and TV network news shows only get six to eight million viewers.

There are 322 million people in America and less than 10%, below thirty million, watch the nightly network and cable news.  Newspaper readers are but a fraction of the television viewers.  So to understand politics and election coverage by the media in America first understand that ninety percent of all Americans refuse to watch the same television seen by all international viewers.

Long ago people realized our news media stopped being a reliable source of news in America.  Unfortunately, television and the Internet are the only sources for the world to get news on America, and neither one is considered a reliable news source by the vast majority of Americans.

One last note on the reliability of elections, I have been directly involved in thirty-two campaigns over the years and most polls in America are biased.  The easiest thing in the world is to manipulate a poll to give you the results you seek so the special interest behind the poll can control the results they will discover.

Typical Americans give polls little credibility as they know the polls serve a far greater purpose in generating advertising revenue for the media outlet than providing valuable information on election results.

Moreover, and the pollsters know this, no poll regarding the general election in November from the match ups of Clinton and Trump to the mood of Democrats and Republicans can be accurate as Americans do not ever start thinking about the decision until after the political conventions and after the end of summer.

The Hillary Hypocrisy - What Iowa Voters need to Know! - A Caucus Primer

.

I am a native Iowan, a Hayseed and proud of it.  Born and raised in Iowa City, one of the most vibrant college towns in America, my family moved to Ottumwa in the mid 1950's.  Being born in 1946, I was a first year Baby Boomer.

Where Iowa City was young, vibrant, stimulating, and full of opportunity, Ottumwa was the other end of the spectrum.  In the late 1800's it was a booming coal capital, followed by a meatpacking capital in the early 20th century, and manufacturing (John Deere) center in the middle of the 20th century.

The Coal Palace
In each of the three periods in Ottumwa's history, the coal, meatpacking, and farm equipment manufacturing eras, that industry dominated the employment base and each period came to a crashing end.

Abandoned Morrell Plant
More than 22,000 people lived in Ottumwa in 1910 and population peaked with 33,631 in 1950 and 33,871 in 1960.  Like many Midwestern towns, the population has dropped to 24,682 in 2014, leaving the city today with the fewest people since 1920.

Ottumwa Downtown
To show the sharp contrast between towns in Iowa, my hometown Iowa City did not catch up with the Ottumwa population until 1960, but where Ottumwa has lost nearly 30% of the population since 1960, Iowa City has more than doubled in population during the same period to 73,415.

Iowa City
Hawkeye Stadium
Iowa is a state of diversity in people, prospects, and possibilities.  It also is unique in terms of the political caucus process and their standing as the first actual vote for president every four years in America.  Political pundits and media really do not like the fact Iowa is the first national test of our political system.  They like the unique caucus system even less because no other state uses it.  Too bad!

However, I did want to make sure the Iowa voters have all the facts before they caucus next Monday and begin the long grind to the presidency and the replacement for Barack Obama.  It was eight years ago Barack Obama pulled off the first of many upsets when he won 38% of the Iowa delegates while Hillary Clinton finished third with 27%.

So what about this year, Bernie Sanders came out of nowhere to challenge the Democrat front-runner and consensus favorite, Hillary Clinton, wife of popular Democrat President Bill Clinton.  To date Sanders, an Independent Socialist running for president as a Democrat, has driven the Democrat establishment crazy and is in a dead heat going into the final lap.

However, the Democrat establishment including DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz and President Barack Obama are doing everything in their power to tilt the contest to Hillary and the big question is why?

The answer may be simpler than you think.

Two words mark the difference between the Clinton and Sanders campaigns.  They might be Goldman Sachs, Wall Street, Big Banks, Dirty Money, Puppet Masters, Corporate Corruption, or any and all of the above.

Here is an overview of the history.  Way back, when Bill Clinton was president and being impeached for excessive womanizing, to put it mildly, Goldman Sachs came to his rescue helping to raise millions of dollars to silence some of his victims and to pay off Clinton's Seven Million Dollar legal fees.

When Clinton left office, he became the poster boy for Goldman Sachs as the Clinton regulatory initiatives passed his last two years in office opened the floodgates to corporate corruption and led to the economic collapse of our nation in 2008.  The Goldman Sachs team raised tens of millions of dollars for Bill and his Foundation.

One of the chief appointees and fundraisers for President Clinton was Rahm Emanuel, a director for Goldman Sachs and who would soon be a Congressman.  It was Emanuel, who got Goldman Sachs to back an unknown Chicago politician Barack Obama when he ran for US Senate, and amid very suspicious circumstances won election and took office in 2006.

After Emanuel helped Obama become the largest recipient of Wall Street campaign contributions in history as he won the 2008 presidency, Rahm became Obama's chief of staff while dozens of Goldman employees took key economic positions in the Obama administration.

Now Emanuel, embattled Mayor of Chicago, is tied to Hillary and the Democratic establishment having hosted major fundraisers for her.  His Clinton connection from the mid 1990s and his ability to get both Hillary and Bill as the poster family for Goldman Sachs speak volumes.

Two Bill Clinton legacies generally forgotten by the Democrats and media, first more Americans were jailed during Bill Clinton's presidency than George Bush and Ronald Reagan combined, and second his regulatory revisions his last year in office allowed the thieves on Wall Street to destroy the American economy.

However, that is only the beginning.

Consider the following facts.  First Hillary pledges to be the advocate for low income, financially starved citizens.  In this respect, she says the top one percent wage earners who make most of the money in America, along with their Wall Street banks and brokerages, are the enemy.

WHAT THE TOP 1% MAKE IN AMERICA

Household income is at least $521,411 to join the top 1% in 2014!

For a fee of $275,000, Hillary agreed to appear before the clients of GoldenTree Asset Management, the capstone of a lucrative speech making sprint through Wall Street that would earn her more than $2 million in less than seven months.

Goldman Sachs paid Hillary $675,000 for three speeches.

Hillary made $16 million in five years from Wall Street while holding a government job during part of the time.

Bill and Hillary Clinton made $30 million in the last 16 months from Goldman and Wall Street not counting millions more given to the Clinton Foundation.

Since Bill left office in 2001, Bill and Hillary made $125 million.

Bill Clinton got paid $500,000 for one speech.

Hillary got paid $350,000 for a single speech.

The Hillary and Bill couple made $25 million in speaking fees in just the last year.

During this time including when Hillary was Secretary of State, hundreds of millions of dollars went to the Clinton family Foundation.

The real facts sound like she is a defender and benefactor of Wall Street rather than an enemy.  Ever since both Clintons left public office, they were full fledged members of the 1% thanks to the largess of Goldman Sachs and Wall Street.

Hillary the defender of Children for five decades!

This is the most recent ad placed by the Clinton campaign tracing her interest in protecting children over the years.  Of course, she is also the defender of Planned Parenthood and the Right to Choice for women.

That means for the past four decades she has defended the Roe versus Wade decision, which also means she is a supporter of the 58 million abortions that have taken place in America since the passage of Roe versus Wade in 1973.

Of that amount, 34.4% are African American though they make up only 12.6% of the US population.  Hispanics have 25% of abortions versus 16.3% of the population.  What does that mean?  Tragically, it means the abortion of twenty million African American children, fourteen and a half million Hispanic children, and twenty-three and a half million White children.

That is another side of the Hillary hypocrisy.

Perhaps Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said it best when it comes to abortion.

"The Negro cannot win as long as he is willing to sacrifice the lives of his children for comfort and safety.” How can the “Dream” survive if we murder the children? Every aborted baby is like a slave in the womb of his or her mother. The mother decides his or her fate."

The Games People Play - Can Hillary Clinton run on Bill Clinton's Legacy?

.

Oh the Games People Play Now

Every night and every day now
Never meaning what they say now
Never saying what they mean now

Seems the trial balloons are flying through the air as Hillary Clinton continues to toy with the idea of a presidential run yet the news media continues to push her possible candidacy while making no effort to qualify or quantify the results of her record.

No doubt Hillary would make a formidable candidate as the Clinton machine long ago mastered the art of fund raising and aren't presidential politics in America all about MONEY regardless of qualification?

But her campaign strategy seems to be dependent on the news media not doing their job when it comes to due diligence regarding candidates.  Now clearly the media love affair with the Clinton's predates the media love affair with Obama but now that Obama has demonstrated the media was wrong they have had to shift their love to Hillary as the last hope for liberal reform.

Yet the media is living a lie based on the record, as it seems history, and even recent history, runs contrary to the media depiction of Hillary.  For one she is not liberal.

For another, the media is prepared to blame Obama for all the foreign relations disasters of this Administration when as Secretary of State Hillary was the Administration person most responsible for policy development and implementation.

Here is just a partial record:

  • Iraq and Afghanistan are drifting farther and farther from US influence in spite of the billions and billions of dollars this Administration spent.

  • The Arab spring has resulted in new governments from Egypt to Libya and the Arab states distrust the US more than ever.

  • The Israeli and Palestine peace talks have once again broken down leaving tension higher than ever.

  • The Administration attempts to stop nuclear proliferation in Iran have failed and nothing is being done.

  • The Administration threats to dump the President of Syria and liberate the people because Assad "crossed the line in the sand" is an international joke and policy disaster.

  • The Administration response to the Benghazi fiasco has demonstrated a serious neglect of State Department security, and failure to make any effort to save our four diplomats who were murdered.

  • The Administration failed to recognize any threat to the Ukraine from Russia until the Russians had already annexed Crimea and the eastern Ukraine was totally destabilized.

  • We have done nothing to help Mexico in their drug wars on the American border as more than 120,000 Mexicans were killed and another 27,000 are missing since 2006.

  • The Administration failure to approve the Keystone Pipeline to ship Canadian crude oil to American refineries has alienated our best ally and neighbor to the north.

All of this has happened while Hillary was Secretary of State.  Yet the news media acts as if she had nothing to do with it, it was just Obama's fault.

Still the Clinton people are carefully working to transfer media focus from the litany of policy disasters she was responsible for under Obama to what they consider to be President Bill Clinton's economic achievements while she was First Lady, even though she was not responsible for them.

So let's play the game.  If she had no official standing in economics as First Lady then her influence came from her intimacy with her husband and the media would try to convince us she influenced him through such intimacy.

When one thinks of the proliferation of the president as a ladies man and looks at the record of conquests admitted and reported we come up with the following list of ladies in Bill Clinton's life from the time he was governor of Arkansas through his presidency.

Paula Jones - Gennifer Flowers - Kathleen Willey - Monica Lewinsky - Juanita Broaddrick - Elizabeth Ward Gracen

One wonders how Bill Clinton had any time to be intimate with his wife Hillary and who knows if this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the presidential prowess.  It seems pretty doubtful such intimacy could have occurred and clearly defining economic policy was not the president's goal in intimacy.

Still we are expected to believe she was a major force in his economic policy.  If you really look at the record the major economic policies that led to accelerated growth generated by Clinton came from co-opting the Republican platform, not through bedside manners.

Clinton's Budget Reduction Act cut spending and cut taxes for over 12 million Americans.  He passed a Balanced Budget bill and reduced the deficit, again cutting taxes for millions of Americans.  He championed the NAFTA free trade treaty with Canada and Mexico.  All of these policies were approved on bi-partisan votes and all came from the Republican platform including his new Federalism initiatives to reduce central government control and transfer powers to the states.

The whole concept that they were a result of Hillary's efforts is laughable at best, sheer lunacy at worst.  More important, to expect the American public to credit Hillary with Bill Clinton's economic achievements indicates a rather dark and foreboding cloud has descended over our news media as truth, facts and history have been distorted, twisted and mutilated in an effort to get her elected.

If they continue to promote Hillary through such tactics then America needs to find a new source of news and truth.  One day American voters, progressives and moderates, liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, and yes, even the one third of the vote totally ignored by the media and our two party system, the Independents, will wake up and realize they have been victims of an unethical political system that simply takes their vote for granted because the so called "experts" think Americans are too dumb to think for themselves.
