Tim Tebow joins Jeremy Lin as Christians in NYC Coliseum

.

Casting is complete - Mayan Armageddon Set for NYC

Later this year, on December 21, 2012, the Mayan calendar ends signaling to many the End of Times, or Armageddon in biblical terms for mankind.  Just in time for this greatest of all dramas Divine Providence has again demonstrated a preference for sports by moving mountains so to speak to demonstrate His might.

First a few weeks ago he snatched Jeremy Lin from his cousin's couch and cast him in a starring role with the Knicks.  A few weeks later the coach was fired and now the Knicks, with Lin, are settling into becoming a real team.

Somewhere along the way Lin was noticed praising the Lord for his opportunity to perform on the world's biggest sports stage and the success he has achieved in a few short weeks.

The fact Lin evolved from obscurity in the NBA to the front pages at the same time Tim Tebow was evolving from obscurity in the NFL to the front pages was a decisive indicator of the spiritual interest in these two "angels of the light" shall we say.

Yet that was not enough to give the Creator proper leverage as we approach the final End of Time because Tebow was doing his spiritual thing in the much smaller Denver media market while Lin had the task in the Sodom and Gomorra monster media market.

Apparently the Creator sent St. Michael in to renegotiate what was necessary to unite the two Christian gladiators in the den of sin, New York City, so all the world would know their every move.

Mike just had to remove one of the greatest quarterbacks in football from his team, Peyton Manning from the Indianapolis Colts, and get Denver to acquire him, which they did, thus allowing Denver to trade Tim Tebow.

Mike then stunned the sports world by getting a deal done with the New York Jets for Tebow, before most people knew the Jets were even interested.

Suddenly NYC, the New Jerusalem to many Bible readers, will have the two most talked about Christian athletes in the world showcased this fall when they are cast into the NYC Coliseums, Madison Square Garden and Jets Stadium, before the toughest fans and meanest media in the world.

Just in time for the end of the Mayan calendar December 21, 2012.

Ironically, when both became Poster Players for God over the winter they also became close friends and they both expressed delight they would be in NYC together doing the work of the Lord.

As if having the front line of defense (Lin and Tebow) against the ravages of evil is not enough, there are also rumors that yet another media superstar may be part of the equation as Tim has been seen socially with Taylor Swift, the rather unconventional queen of country music.

Perhaps this whole effort by Divine Providence is just a test for the ad and public relations agencies of NYC who have proven to be masters of the dark side, think how they protected Wall Street, corporate crime, pornography, and all the myths and lies in such professions as medical, money and war.

Now they are going to have to deal with two twin pillars of Christianity and neither is a loud mouth preacher or hypocritical zealot.

I'd say Michael the Archangel pulled off some pretty slick negotiations to get both Lin and Tebow onto the front and back pages of New York media just in time for the Mayan Armageddon.

For the first time the Christians might just have a chance on the coliseum floor.  Much of the media, particularly those lacking faith, will have a difficult time trashing these Christian warriors.  The millions of New Yorkers who love an underdog, because most people in NYC are underdogs compared to Madison Avenue, Fifth Avenue and Wall Street folks, have now got two heroes.

And somewhere up in Heaven the Creator is probably getting a good chuckle with Michael and the other archangels now that their missionaries are in NYC just before the End Times.  You see the Mayans are probably there too and they all know the truth about the Mayan calendar.  When they started carving the calendar they just had too small of a stone.  The rest of time is on the second Mayan calendar.

Jeremy Lin and Tim Tebow - serve your Creator well and win a few for the home team.  In serving, you will reap the important rewards for your toils, the eternal spiritual retirement program in the Eternal Kingdom where media and politics don't exist.

Chinese Year of Dragon & New York Knicks

.

China + Dragon + Knicks = Power

According to ancient Chinese teaching we have entered the year of the Dragon, one of the most powerful and revered of all Signs.

The Dragon is a symbol of good fortune and intense power in Eastern culture.  In Chinese tradition, the Dragon is regarded as a divine beast.

Just ask the New York Knicks.

Good fortune and power fell in their knickerbockers two weeks ago when they took a chance or read a fortune cookie, whichever story you choose, and put a Chinese-Taiwanese player nobody in the NBA wanted on their roster and into a game.

The rest is history though a short history so far.  The Chinese Dragon smiled down on the Knicks and unknown sensation Jeremy Lin transformed into a superstar, al beit a most unusual humble hero, unusual for the NBA that is.

But the magic of the Dragon was not through with the Knicks.  Just today, Sunday, a second Chinese gift came to the Knicks.

Three days ago American J. R. Smith was playing in a Chinese basketball league in China.

Two days ago he was on a plane headed to NYC having been picked up by the Knicks.

Yesterday he arrived probably suffering from jet lag and too late for team practice.

Today he entered the game having never even practiced with the Knicks and nailed his first two shots from 3 point range.

A second gift from the Dragon in two weeks, both with distinct China ties.  Are you beginning to sense some wild Dragon magic might be at work?

Well the Knicks were playing the Dallas Mavericks, the defending national champions and one of the top teams in the NBA.  How about the gifts from the Dragon?  Lin scored 28 points and had 14 assists while Smith scored 15 m0re, a total of 43 points btween them, and enough to lead the Knicks to their 8th win in 9 games since Lin joined the team.

More important, other Knicks are starting to play team basketball and achieve much improved results.  But get this, the star of the Knicks, Carmelo Anthony, has been injured the entire time Lin has played.  Any day he will rejoin the team.

Finally, the Knicks franchised has substantially increased in value on the stock market since Lin joined the team while the greatest fans in America have been fired up with hope for the Knicks following in the New York Giants footsteps to another world championship.

It should be fun.  And then, well if the Dragon is any sign then watch for the blue collar boys from New York to shake things up in the NBA playoffs.

Chinese Dominate American Politics, Sports and Dog Shows

.

The Year of the Dragon 2012

What a month for the Chinese in America starting with the Chinese New Year on January 23, 2012 celebrating the Year of the Dragon.

Think about the dragon!

In Chinese astrology the dragon is the only animal of the Chinese zodiac year that is not real.

In Chinese astrology the dragon is quite special and very much revered.

The dragon holds special significance for the Chinese people.

More than 4,000 years ago, there were two large tribes and many smaller tribes in China. The tribes had animals as emblems. The two large tribes unified and chose the dragon as their symbol. In fact, the Han Chinese still call themselves the descendants of the Dragon.

In Chinese astrology the dragon was seen as a powerful almighty king because it was made up of different parts of animals such as a tiger, fish, snake and an eagle.

The Chinese dragon was not seen as a threatening evil being as we do in the west - rather a symbol of power, superiority and rule.

Still today, the Dragon is a revered symbol. You can see many sculptures and carvings of the dragon. Even today, the Chinese associate the dragon with power and wisdom.

In Chinese astrology a dragon person is special. Born in the Chinese Year of the Dragon they usually stand out as befits a dragon. They are powerful and wise.

Chinese American Jeremy Lin and Linsanity

TORONTO (AP)—Even after his amazing week, this one took Linsanity to a whole new level. Against Toronto on Tuesday, it was Lin for the win!

New York Knicks sensation Jeremy Lin made a tiebreaking 3-pointer with less than a second to play to cap his finishing flurry of six straight points and New York rallied to beat the Raptors 90-87, extending its winning streak to six games.

“I’m just glad it went like this so we can calm the Linsanity down,”cracked Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni.

No chance of that. The NBA’s first American-Taiwanese player, Lin scored 27 points and added a career-high 11 assists in his first game since being named Eastern Conference player of the week.

Pekingese Struts Away with Westminster Dog Show Championship

A Pennsylvania dog has claimed top honors at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.  Malachy, a Pekingese won Best in Show tonight at the 136th New York show, beating seven other group winners.  The victory was his 115th overall best in show title.

The Pekingese is a well-balanced, compact dog of Chinese origin.

Chinese art throughout the ages, starting with the Tang dynasty of the 8th century, abounds with images of the Pekingese, who gets his name from the ancient city of Peking, now called Beijing.

Pekingese were held sacred in ancient China and could only be owned by royalty. At that time, the punishment for stealing a Pekingese was death. Pekingese came to Europe as a result of war. When the British overtook the Chinese Imperial Palace in 1860, they returned home with several of the dogs.

Chinese American Electrifies New York Knicks in NBA

.

Jeremy Shu-How Lin

Jeremy Shu-How Lin (traditional Chinese: 林書豪; simplified Chinese: ; pinyin: Lín Shūháo; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Lîm Su-hô; born August 23, 1988) is an American professional basketball player with the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). After receiving no athletic scholarship offers out of high school and being undrafted out of college, the Harvard University graduate reached a partially guaranteed contract deal with his hometown Golden State Warriors. Lin is one of the few Asian Americans in NBA history, and the first American player in the league to be of Chinese or Taiwanese descent.

On February 4, 2012, Lin had 25 points, five rebounds, and seven assists—all career-highs—in a 99–92 Knicks victory over the New Jersey Nets. After the game, Knick coach Mike D'Antoni said Lin has a point-guard mentality and "a rhyme and a reason for what he is doing out there." In the subsequent game against the Utah Jazz, Lin made his first career start. He had 28 points and eight assists. In a game against the Washington Wizards, Lin had 23 points and career-high 10 assists. It was his first double-double. On February 10, 2012, Lin scored a new career-high 38 points and had seven assists, leading the Knicks in their victory over the Los Angeles Lakers with a score of 92–85.

On February 11, Lin scored 20 points and had 8 assists in a narrow 100-98 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. This win extended the Knick's win streak to 5 games, and at 13-15, put the team into contention for the 8th playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Lin scored 109 points in his first four career starts, the most by any player since the merger between the American Basketball Association (ABA) and the NBA in 1976–77. The Associated Press called Lin "the most surprising story in the NBA." Bloomberg News wrote that Lin "has already become the most famous [Asian American NBA player]." Knicks fans developed nicknames for him along with a new lexicon inspired by his name, Lin. Time.com ran an article titled, "It's Official: Linsanity Is for Real". Hall of Fame player Magic Johnson said, "The excitement [Lin] has caused in [Madison Square] Garden, man, I hadn't seen that in a long time."
