September 26, 2017, in the heat of the war of words between President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong-Un of North Korea, the news media were trying to stir up interest by hyping the catastrophic threat of world war between North Korea and America.

Melchizedek said then there would be no war, if North Korea did test another nuclear bomb there would be devastating consequences to that country, and the damage they already inflicted on their country from the reckless testing would cause the area where they tested along the Chinese border to collapse as if falling into the earth.

He also warned of the long term consequences of over 2,000 nuclear tests already carried out by various nations.  Melchizedek warned that the Earth must repair itself when man's actions inflict such severe damage.  He also warned that if humankind does not stop the testing, divine forces will stop it.

Shortly after the Melchizedek warning a Chinese scientific report was released describing the incredible damage at the North Korea test site and the last hydrogen bomb tested caused four earthquakes and the deaths of hundreds of workers. It also resulted in the closing of the test facility, the end of Korean testing, and now, with the help of the Chinese, President Trump and Kim Jong-Un will sit down for the first summit between the nations in history.

Clearly the Melchizedek prophecies were absolutely right and a great deal of tension has been lifted from the earth but people now should be praying that the two leaders find inspiration from God and Jesus to find a solution that will benefit earth well into the future.  Even Democrats who are Christians should should be able to pray for world peace.

Geologists Say North Korea's Main Nuclear Test Site Has Collapsed

Prayer for world peace and for the future health of earth seems a very small thing to ask and should not get caught up in the political paralysis of hate still far too prevalent in our media and lives.

Research by Chinese geologists suggests that the mountain above North Korea's main nuclear test site has likely collapsed, rendering it unsafe for further testing and requiring that it be monitored for any leaking radiation.

The findings by the scientists at the University of Science and Technology of China may shed new light on North Korean President Kim Jong Un's announcement that his country was ceasing its testing program ahead of planned summit meetings with South Korean President Moon Jae-in and U.S. President Donald Trump.

The results also support some of the findings of an earlier study by another group of Chinese researchers that was published last month by the journal Geophysical Research Letters.

Nuclear explosions release enormous amounts of heat and energy, and the North's largest test in September was believed early on to have rendered the site in northeastern North Korea unstable.

Chinese authorities have said they've detected no radiation risk from samples collected along the border. Calls to those departments were not immediately answered on Thursday.

The data in the latest Chinese study was collected following the most powerful of North Korea's six nuclear device tests on Sept. 3, which is believed to have triggered four earthquakes over the following weeks. The yield of the bomb was estimated at more than 100 kilotons of TNT, at least 10 times stronger than anything the North had tested previously. (The bomb the United States dropped on Hiroshima in 1945 had a yield of about 15 kilotons.)

The University of Science and Technology of China paper, authored by Tian Dongdong, Yao Jiawen and Wen Lianxing, said the first of those earthquakes, which occurred 8 ? minutes after the explosion, was "an onsite collapse toward the nuclear test center," while those that followed were an "earthquake swarm" in similar locations.

"In view of the research finding that the North Korea nuclear test site at Mantapsan has collapsed, it is necessary to continue to monitor any leakage of radioactive materials that may have been caused by the collapse," the authors said in a summary dated Monday and viewed Wednesday on the university's website.

The study is peer-reviewed and has been accepted for publication by the journal Geophysical Research Letters.

The Chinese study makes sense and is based on well understood research, said Rowena Lohman, a seismologist at Cornell University who wasn't part of the work. She said she believes there's an international effort that monitors these tests for radiation.

A study published last month by the journal, authored by a team led by Liu Junqing at the earthquake bureau in Jilin province along the border with North Korea, found similar results of the Sept. 3 explosion. It described the aftershock that followed seconds later as most likely a "rapid destruction of an explosion-generated cracked rock chimney due to cavity collapse."

North Korea's nuclear tests are of special concern to Beijing, since the test site near the town of Kilju is less than 100 kilometers (60 miles) from the border with China.

North Korean nuclear tests have caused seismic events in Chinese border towns and cities, forcing evacuations of schools and offices, sparking fears of wind-born radiation and leading to a backlash among some Chinese against their country's unpredictable traditional ally.

Ties between the sides have been deteriorating for years, although Kim made a long-anticipated visit to Beijing last month after China's implementation of United Nationseconomic sanctions reduced trade between them by as much as 90 percent.

The quakes that followed the September test were not man-made and didn't appear to cause any damage in the area. The region isn't one where earthquakes naturally occur and no quakes were detected after the five smaller nuclear tests North Korea has conducted since 2006.

Kune Yull Suh, a professor of nuclear engineering at Seoul National University, warned last year that further tests could threaten to cause a volcanic eruption at Mount Paektu, which is about 100 kilometers (60 miles) away.

On Saturday, North Korea announced it will close its nuclear testing facility and suspend nuclear and intercontinental ballistic missile tests — a move welcomed by Trump as "big progress" — and which comes ahead of the planned summit between him and Kim.

However, the North stopped short of suggesting it will give up its nuclear weapons or scale back its production of missiles and their related components.

Are we spiraling toward World War III?

As the reckless missile and hydrogen bomb tests continue by North Korea and the war of words between President Donald Trump and Chairman Kim Jong-Un magnifies the tension, the news media would have it that we are on the brink of World War III and any day we might find ourselves overcome by clouds of radiation and killed.

Well Melchizedek has had a few words of wisdom about that and his explanation is quite different.  Several months ago, he said tension between the US and North Korea would begin to spiral out-of-control and the media would strike fear in the people when they started to make references to World War III.

Perhaps such an effect would fall on deaf ears for those too young to have experienced the impact of World War II and the Cold War aftermath, but believe it or not, though the Madison Avenue marketers may have forgotten about us, we are still here.

For all intents and purposes Baby Boomers and Millennials are tied in numbers, yet Boomers control more than 50% of all wealth in America.  In 2030 when Boomers are just 17 million they will still control 45% of all wealth.

We know of the ravages of war, the wars that were never won, and the effect of tens of thousands of deaths of our brothers, friends, and neighbors.  We also know of the damage wars can cause to our national psyche.  Yes, the media are causing fear with reports of potential catastrophic deaths in South Korea and to American troops stationed at the Korean border.

Melchizedek reminds us that fear breeds more fear and collective fear manifests into reality.  Then he mentions a few other factors we may never have considered. 

Perhaps the greatest Creation in all of Creation is the amazing planet Earth we call home.  This vessel has provided all of our needs for billions of years from health to housing, food to warmth.  What have we done in return?

We test nuclear weapons, in the air and underground.  We even drop a couple on Japan, and continue to test nuclear weapons long after a test ban agreement was adopted.  In fact, according to the Arms Control Association, since the first nuclear test explosion on July 16, 1945, at least eight nations have detonated 2,056 nuclear test explosions, at dozens of test sites.  These sites are all over the globe from Lop Nor in China, to the atolls of the Pacific, to Nevada, to Algeria where France conducted its first nuclear device, to western Australia where the U.K. exploded nuclear weapons, the South Atlantic, to Semipalatinsk in Kazakhstan, across Russia, and elsewhere.

Conveniently, most of the test sites are in the lands of indigenous peoples and far from the capitals of the testing governments. A large number of the early tests—528—were detonated in the atmosphere, which spread radioactive materials through the atmosphere which eventually fell to earth.  Many underground nuclear blasts have also vented radioactive material into the atmosphere and left radioactive contamination in the soil.  What about the massive amounts of radiation blown deep into the bowels of the earth through nearly 1,500 explosions?

According to Melchizedek, our scientists have been completely wrong in trying to calculate the impact of humankind on climate change and global warming.  Mining coal, oil, and uranium among other things has certainly been a lousy way to treat Mother Earth, but it is nothing compared to the devastating impact over 2,000 nuclear bombs have caused over the years.

As the radiation made its way down through the various layers from crust to hot mantles to molten core, stop right there.  There is no known answer for what lies below the surface of the earth and we are constantly discovering new things, like oceans of water hundreds of miles down.

Truth is we have no idea what is under us, how it functions, and how it might be influenced by super-heated bombs and deadly radiation.  How can we honestly make any claims about climate change when we do not even know what is going on under the very surface we walk upon.  Add to that what happens to all the hot and molten layers of sub-surface when exposed to radiation for decades.

The nuclear bomb category includes the first atomic bombs dropped on Japan.  Resulting temperatures can reach 7,000 degrees Fahrenheit compared to the 4,000 degrees Fahrenheit of molten lava under the earth.

Hydrogen bombs require 20 million degrees Fahrenheit just to generate the hydrogen reaction within the bomb.  In addition, there is the destructive power as the hydrogen bomb can be 1,000 times stronger than the atomic bomb.

We have not factored this astounding destructive effect of the 2,056 nuclear and hydrogen bomb explosions into our climate control and global warming analysis.  Melchizedek says the increase in our temperature and global warming effect is a result of the radiation seeking its way to the core of the earth where the temperature is 4,000 degrees Fahrenheit.

What we are experiencing, as we face and will continue to face the wrath of Mother Nature, is the cleansing of the Earth of the effects of our testing of nuclear weapons. If we are not prepared to protect our Earth, this miraculous living spirit was created to take care of itself.

Natural storms doing unnatural things are the result, until the damage has been repaired.  We can count on it taking at least another 6-12 months.  What better way to reduce the aching impact of the poison we have driven into the very core, or heart, of our host and protector, the Earth.

However, the years of damage and abuse will require a year of super storms, followed by several years of occasional super storms, before the healing will be complete.  It would not have been necessary if we did not set off the 2,056 nuclear bombs.

In 1996, negotiations on a global Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) were concluded and the treaty was opened for signature on September 24, 1996. The CTBT, which prohibits "any nuclear weapon test explosion or any other nuclear explosion" and established an international test monitoring and verification system, has not yet entered into force.

Our actions today are not the cause of the unnatural natural disasters we face. With the exception of North Korea, they are the consequences for what we have done. Earth will make the necessary repairs using the gifts given to the Earth at Creation.  That is what Melchizedek says we are experiencing.

As for the eventual consequences of the North Korean threat, if they do not come to the understanding that the tests are causing the unstable and greatly increased intensity of the natural storms, they will be destroyed by earthquakes, not the USA, before World War III begins.

Melchizedek says North Korea likely will fire a H-Bomb toward the US that will explode and contaminate the Pacific Ocean with radiation.  Earth will respond with earthquakes that will destroy North Korea.

         

Remember, the half-life of the residue from the bombs tells how long the land will be useless.  The Hiroshima bomb used Uranium-235, while the Nagasaki bomb used Plutonium-239.  The half-life of U-235 is 700 million years, while Pu-239 is 24,000 years.  That is far too long to wait for the Earth to be cleansed.

We face a very difficult time as the Earth makes the necessary repairs to allow us to continue our path of spiritual evolution.  There will be deaths from the disasters, many, but even deaths are a chance for a soul to start over again.

What we are witnessing is the love of the Creator for all of Creation, and the omniscient of the Creator in providing healing to those creations.  This is not the wrath of God against humanity, for the forgiveness of the Creator transcends all human emotion, action, or deed, good or bad.

The Melchizedek Chronicles – Global Warming – Natural or man made? What are the Scientists Missing?

We have already written extensively about the tragic consequences of over 2,000 nuclear bombs detonated around the Earth during the Cold War, with seventy-five percent underground.

Named “Little Boys,” the two bombs that hit Japan in 1945 were 15 and 21 kilotons.  Far more powerful nuclear bombs detonated more recently.  From a mathematical standpoint, the difference is startling.

 

In metric terms a ton is 1,000 kilograms.  Nuclear weapons tests have ranged from the early kilotons to a fifty-megaton bomb by the USSR.  So, a kiloton is then 1,000 tons and a megaton 1,000,000 tons. Thus, a megaton is larger by a factor of 1000.

Consider this, that USSR monster has a force of 50 megatons, which is equivalent to 3,333 Little Boys or 50 million US tons of TNT.  So powerful is the bomb that if one dropped on Washington DC, the blast zone would extend all the way to Baltimore, 41 miles.

It is not out of the question that the 2000+ nuclear explosions could have a combined impact of nearly one million megatons.  What have we done to our Earth?  Our man made toxic poisoning of the Earth is now being processed by the Earth, with no help from the people.

Thank goodness our Creator made plans for our mistakes and created a purification mechanism to preserve the Earth.  While my other articles address this issue in detail, rest assured the Earth, through natural processes, is purifying the toxic mess.

Gravity draws the radioactive and super-heated nuclear debris to the core of there Earth where 11,000 degree magnum exists, somewhat similar to the temperature of the surface of the Sun.

When super-heated radioactive debris gets to the core of the Earth the natural reaction is to absorb it into the core and expel it through the vast network of fissures created for Earth including volcanoes, earthquakes, geysers, hot springs, or other natural outlets.

We have reached the height of the absorption with toxic waste expelled through every nook and cranny and the resulting release of the pressure and heat build up within our Earth demonstrating the power of Earth to self-heal.

Just remember that this period of extensive heat buildup is temporary and not part of the natural cycle of an Ice Age to warming.  Our last Ice Age was 11,000 years ago meaning the pendulum spans close to 14,000 years each direction.

Yet another unintended consequence!

Beyond the purification of the earth underway there is another unintended consequence missed by science.  Many long dormant volcanoes have erupted to help with the purification and we are just discovering that hundreds of them could lie directly under the polar ice caps.

New research techniques used helped detect over 90 volcanoes erupting far under the Antarctica Ice Cap, in a very small section of the Ice Cap.  There could be hundreds of them under the massive ice caps all pouring the super heat up underneath the ice.

This very unnatural action could melt the ice caps much faster from below than the carbon impact from above the earth.  It would drastically distort normal climate change or global warming.

Hiding beneath the massive Antarctic Ice Sheet lies one of the densest clusters of volcanoes in the world. A recent study discovered 91 new volcanoes, adding to the 47 already identified volcanoes.

What is troubling scientists is the ability for these volcanoes, if they erupted, to cause wide scale melting and breakup of Antarctica's ice sheets. The research was conducted by a group of geologists at the University of Edinburgh and recently published in a special publication of the Geological Society of London.

Nature Communications published the report.

According to NASA, satellite data collected since 2002 shows both the Antarctic and Greenland ice sheets have been losing mass.

The agency further stressed the melting ice has accelerated since 2009.

Further satellite observations show the average global sea level has risen by nearly seven inches in the past 100 years.

Ironically, the effects of climate change are not very predictable, especially since we still do not understand the contributing factors.

In 2007 former US Vice-President Al Gore gave an apocalyptic speech. 'The North Polar ice cap is falling off a cliff,' he said. 'It could be completely gone in summer in as little as seven years. Seven years from now.'  Those comments came in 2007 as ex-VP Gore accepted the Nobel Peace Prize for his campaigning on climate change.

But seven years after his warning, The Mail on Sunday Newspaper revealed that, far from vanishing, the Arctic ice cap had expanded for the second year in succession - with a surge, depending on how you measure it, of between 43 and 63 per cent since 2012.

To put it another way, an area the size of Alaska, America's biggest state, was open water two years ago, but is again now covered by ice.

Recent US Navy technology has identified substantial heat generated by volcanoes far under the ice caps and it could well be the eruptions are the real cause of global warming.

People are still the cause of what is happening, only is may be the sins of the father rather than our sins driving global warming.  We have much to learn about the impact of the vast radiation poisoning of the earth and the natural purification underway.

It also means the current climate change may accelerate from the radiation purification, but it will stop soon enough as the remainder of the radiation expels.  Does that mean natural climate change will take over again?

If so, then the Creator has done a far greater job of anticipating the needs of Creation than we might expect and we still have time to make our contribution to the preservation of the earth for future generations. 

When UFO Incidents stunned the American Military, Press and Public - Will the Mystery finally be Solved?

Sixty-six years ago, in July of 1952, the greatest government documented cluster of UFO sightings in our history took place in and around our nation's capital, Washington, D.C. and the country was in a near panic.

This was just five years after the infamous Roswell, New Mexico UFO crash, also officially reported by the government, only to have a cover up begin within twenty-four hours.  These two are among very few documented UFO cases by the government before the veil of secrecy dropped down on the events.

To put things in even sharper perspective, the world was on edge since two atomic bombs were dropped on Japan in 1945 ending World War II.  Former allies the US and Soviet Union turned their threats and guns on each other and these two superpowers were intent on nuclear dominance.

The nation of Israel was formed in 1948, Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated the same year.  A year later NATO was formed to protect the west from the growing might of the Soviet Union.  By 1950 the Korean War started, a proxy war for the two superpowers that lasted three years.

Before the end of 1952 the world would witness the first thermonuclear bomb, the USA hydrogen bomb, moving us one step closer to a doomsday weapon.

As for aliens, our attention first turned to the possibility of alien beings, not with the shocking crash of the UFO in Roswell, but a decade earlier when a young actor named Orson Welles gave a live radio broadcast of the War of the Worlds involving a Martian landing in New Jersey.  Millions of Americans panicked.

Ironically, the even more terrifying science fiction thriller, the movie War of the Worlds, based on Welles previous work, was released a year after the Washington, DC UFO swarm in 1953.

THE 1952 WASHINGTON, D.C., UFO INCIDENT, EXPLAINED

THE GREAT 1952 WASHINGTON, D.C., UFO INCIDENT

It was around 11:40 p.m. on Saturday night, July 19, 1952. Air traffic controller Edward Nugent was at his radar screen at Washington National Airport in Washington, D.C., when he saw seven unusual blips on the screen. No known aircraft were in the area and there was no explanation for the presence of the objects. Nugent called his superior, Harry Barnes, to come and look. Together, they watched the mysterious objects dart across the sky. They even checked to make sure the radar was working properly.

Nugent and his boss checked with the control tower and learned that both controllers in the tower had also seen the blips. They called nearby Andrews Air Force Base, where controllers also saw strange objects on their radar screens.

Two of the objects clearly hovered over the White House, with another one over the Capitol. Controllers at both airports began tracking the objects, which they estimated to be traveling at about 130 mph when they suddenly disappeared from the radar screen. Then appeared again, zipping all around the sky. One made a 90-degree turn and another one suddenly went in reverse, both maneuvers that American airplanes could not make at the time.

An airline captain, S.C. Pierman, was waiting on the tarmac in the cockpit of his DC-4 at National Airport for authorization to take off. While waiting, he saw six objects moving about the sky. Over a 14-minute time period, Pierman would see the objects and then they would disappear, reappearing moments later. He was talking to controller Barnes this entire time. Every time Pierman reported a sighting, a blip appeared on Barnes’s radar screen. At 5:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, July 20, the objects disappeared entirely.

Were these really unidentified flying objects (UFOs)? Did they come back again on another day for a second look? What was the significance of the 1952 UFO sightings and how did the sightings become known as the Great UFO Flap of 1952?

THE OBJECTS RETURN ON JULY 26, 1952

At around 8:15 p.m. one week later, a stewardess and a captain were on an inbound flight into Washington National Airport. They observed strange lights above their plane. At the same time, an officer at Andrews Air Force Base also observed the objects. Other pilots in the air at the time saw them, too. Similar to the occurrence from the week before, the “encore performance” of the UFOs ended around dawn on Sunday morning. The objects disappeared from sight and off of the airport radar.

NEWS HEADLINES AND UFO PUBLICITY

After the UFO Washington, D.C. incident of July 19, 1952, the headlines from The Washington Post's Monday edition declared, “'Saucer Outruns Jet, Pilot Reveals.” The article stated that the Air Defense Command sent a jet pilot up “to investigate the objects,” but was unable to overtake the moving glowing lights.

According to The Washington Post, the UFOs hovered only 1,700 feet above the White House lawn. An Air Force spokesperson said that their organization took steps to properly investigate the event, but the newspaper found the investigation veiled in secrecy. An unidentified traffic controller said the radar signals ruled out the possibility that the objects were due to weather conditions. He noted that they looked like an "aircraft in flight" on the radar screen.

The government created Project Blue Book to scientifically investigate all reported UFO sightings and relevant data to determine if they posed a threat to national security, which they terminated in January 1970. During its time in existence, from 1952 to 1970, it investigated 12,618 UFO reports. It found most of the occurrences coincided with natural phenomena. Only a handful remained unexplained.

As luck would have it, Air Force Captain, Edward J. Ruppelt, supervisor of the Air Force’s Project Blue Book, was in Washington, D.C. He learned of the UFO incident from reading the newspaper and discussed the situation with Captain Roy James, a radar specialist. James thought unusual weather conditions could have been responsible for objects appearing to show on radar.

OFFICIAL AIR FORCE EXPLANATION

On July 29, 1952, Air Force Major Generals John Samford, Director of Intelligence, and Roger Ramsey, Director of Operations held the largest press conference of any since the end of World War II. The official explanation of the July UFO sightings was that:

• The objects were “misidentified aerial phenomena,” which could mean they were stars or meteors
• The blips on the radar were due to temperature inversions Samford also said that the since the radar blips were not caused by any solid material, there was no threat to national security. He explained that when a weather inversion occurs, lights that are really on the ground may look like they are in the air and this caused the radar to misreport ground objects being in the sky.

The explanation was not well-received. Ruppelt, from Project Blue Book, noted that during the months of June, July and August in Washington D.C. “hardly a night passed” where there wasn’t a temperature inversion and there were not routine UFO sightings on the radar. All air traffic controller involved stated that even if the weather could cause a blip on the radar, it would be as a straight line and would not appear as lights.

In 1969, a scientific report released by the Air Force concluded that a temperature inversion strong enough to create the effect attributed to it by General Samford could not possibly occur in the Earth’s atmosphere. Even so, more than 50 years later, most people still accept the temperature inversion explanation.

THE ROBERTSON PANEL

The CIA commissioned the Robertson Panel in January 1953, in response to the number of UFO sightings from the year prior. The CIA encouraged Project Blue Book to be more active in debunking sightings than investigating them. There was also a huge public relations push to decrease the public’s interest in UFOs.

1952: A BUSY YEAR FOR UFOS

1952 is still one of the most active times in modern history for UFOs. Not only were there reports in Washington, D.C. during that time, but all over the world. In the first six months of 1952, there were about 300 unexplained UFO sightings, four times the number during the same time period of 1951. By the end of July, there were about 400 reports — more than there had been in any other year in history.

UFO MASS SIGHTING

The 1952 Washington D.C. UFO incident, also known as the Washington flap or the Washington National Airport Sightings, was a series of unidentified flying object reports from July 12 to July 29, 1952, over Washington D.C.

The most publicized sightings took place on consecutive weekends, July 19--20 and July 26--27.

Longtime ufologist Richard H. Hall, who served as the assistant director of NICAP and as the director of the Fund for UFO Research, writes:[1] "The summer 1952 UFO sighting wave was one of the largest of all time, and arguably the most significant of all time in terms of the credible reports and hardcore scientific data obtained."

At 11:40 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 1952, Edward Nugent, an air-traffic controller at Washington National Airport, spotted seven objects on his radar. The objects were located 15 miles south-southwest of the city; no known aircraft were in the area and the objects were not following any established flight paths. Nugent's superior, Harry Barnes, a senior air-traffic controller at the airport, watched the objects on Nugent's radarscope. He later wrote: "We knew immediately that a very strange situation existed . . . their movements were completely radical compared to those of ordinary aircraft" (Clark, p. 653).

Barnes had two controllers check Nugent's radar; they found that it was working normally. Barnes then called National Airport's other radar center; the controller there, Howard Cocklin, told Barnes that he also had the objects on his radarscope. Furthermore, Cocklin said that by looking out of the control tower window he could see one of the objects: "a bright orange light. I can't tell what's behind it" (Clark, 653).

At this point, other objects appeared in all sectors of the radarscope; when they moved over the White House and the United States Capitol, Barnes called Andrews Air Force Base, located 10 miles from National Airport. Although Andrews reported that they had no unusual objects on their radar, an airman soon called the base's control tower to report the sighting of a strange object. Airman William Brady, who was in the tower, then saw an "object which appeared to be like an orange ball of fire, trailing a tail . . . [it was] unlike anything I had ever seen before." As Brady tried to alert the other personnel in the tower, the strange object "took off at an unbelievable speed" and vanished in "a split second". He then observed a second, similar object, but it also disappeared before anyone else in the tower could see it (Clark, 654). At 12:30 a.m. on July 20, another person in the National Airport control tower reported seeing "an orange disk about 3,000 feet altitude". On one of the airport's runways, S.C. Pierman, a Capital Airlines pilot, was waiting in the cockpit of his DC-4 for permission to take off. After spotting what he believed to be a meteor, he was told that the control tower's radar had picked up unknown objects closing in on his position. Pierman observed six objects — "white, tailless, fast-moving lights" — over a 14-minute period (Clark, 655). Pierman was in radio contact with Barnes during his sighting, and Barnes later related that "each sighting coincided with a pip we could see near his plane. When he reported that the light streaked off at a high speed, it disappeared on our scope."

At Andrews AFB, meanwhile, the control tower personnel were tracking on radar what some thought to be unknown objects, but others suspected, and in one instance were able to prove, were simply stars and meteors. However, Staff Sgt. Charles Davenport observed an orange-red light to the south; the light "would appear to stand still, then make an abrupt change in direction and altitude . . . this happened several times" (Clark, 655). At one point both radar centers at National Airport and the radar at Andrews AFB were tracking an object hovering over a radio beacon. The object vanished in all three radar centers at the same time (Ruppelt, p. 160). At 3 a.m., shortly before two jet fighters from Newcastle AFB in Delaware arrived over Washington, all of the objects vanished from the radar at National Airport. However, when the jets ran low on fuel and left, the objects returned, which convinced Barnes that "the UFOs were monitoring radio traffic and behaving accordingly" (Clark, 656). The objects were last detected by radar at 5:30 a.m. Around sunrise, E.W. Chambers, a civilian radio engineer in Washington's suburbs, observed "five huge disks circling in a loose formation.

They tilted upward and left on a steep ascent."
