The Melchizedek Chronicles – What happens when you die? August 27, 2019 - In the arms of Jesus

Today, August 27, 2019 a good friend died.  Not without a fight mind you but in the end, Kathy died on her terms.  How could that be you might ask.

First of all, she was Irish, led a good life, she had children and great friends.  She was also a fighter, determined not to let the many diseases out there get the best of her.

Several years ago, she got cancer but beat it back into submission.  It bought her about a decade and a half more time in life.  But it came back with a vengeance.  By the time it was fully diagnosed early last spring the doctors gave her 30-90 days to live.  If she agreed to a massive series of chemotherapy cocktails, where three powerful drugs would be mixed, she might live another couple of months.

Kathy took the first round and it almost killed her so any further treatments were stopped.  But it was too late.  The tumor did stop growing, but the chemo also destroys your immune system so it cannot fight off all the other diseases waiting to strike a weakened system.

It was a lung infection that struck first and when it cut off her ability to breath oxygen, only an oxygen machine kept her alive.  It was not how she intended to live out her life.

She knew what awaited beyond death and did not fear it, so her family and close friends came from around the country and gathered this last weekend at her bed to help celebrate her life.  Each was asked to bring a “wish list” of the things they wanted her to do in Heaven to help them on earth.

She also told some attendees she would be leaving on Tuesday, August 27.  As all good Irish know, laughter and joy are a great antidote for fear and depression.  Her last party was a grand success, even by Irish standards.

At mid-afternoon today she told the doctor to cutoff the oxygen machine and shortly thereafter she was gone as she predicted.

It was just a couple of weeks ago I got the last of many emails she sent me saying her condition was deteriorating and she would no longer be able to write.  However, she thanked me for sending her copies of all the articles I wrote for the Coltons Point Times, and said how much the wisdom of Melchizedek helped her prepare for her departure.

Just a few months earlier I spent five hours at dinner with her and friends discussing the teaching and words of Melchizedek.  She said they helped her during her darkest hours to not fear death and to accept the immortality of the soul as promised by Jesus.  She told me to please keep writing and sharing his teaching because the world desperately needs the connection to God and Jesus, and the path to the truth.

We all have family, friends, and loved ones who get sick and die.  Few have the determination, spirit and insight like Kathy to embrace death as she embraced life.  In her memory, I would like to share a few words of Melchizedek which had such a powerful impact on her.

Melchizedek reminds us what we have forgotten as the world around us has changed.  The industrial and communications revolutions gave way to the digital revolution of today.  It has left us slaves to technology and artificial intelligence.  We have given up our own creative thinking and seeking of truth to the soulless machines and software of the virtual world.

No machine or technology will ever be able to duplicate the wonders of the human body, mind, soul and spirit as created by God.  To this day we understand very little of the power of such gifts and refuse to do what is necessary to communicate with God, Jesus, or anyone in the spiritual world to learn how to use them.

We have forgotten the limitless capacity of the soul to maintain three distinct memory banks, your memories of your most recent lifetime on earth, your memory of all previous lifetimes on earth, and your memory of the Kingdom of Heaven and the Christ Consciousness of Jesus.

The soul is immortal, returning in death to the Kingdom outside of time to await the next journey back to earth to complete the next step in your spiritual evolution.  All is done to prepare you for the End of Time when the final judgement takes place to determine if you are to return to Oneness with God our Creator or simply cease to exist.

Kathy knew of these things and looked forward to her evolution.  Death on Earth is necessary to find eternal life in Heaven and beyond in Oneness with God.  Life should be about the joy, laughter and love we can attain living in the love of the Creator and Jesus, and finding our way home.

Those of us left behind should celebrate her life among us, thank God for the precious time we were able to spend with her, and follow her example in seeking the truth through prayer, meditation, following the example of Jesus and opening our own hearts to God’s promise and word.

Kathy is where she belongs, in the arms of the Lord Jesus and the grace of God.

Tonight I shall look to the stars.

The brightest star winking at me from the heavens will tell me all I need to know, she has found her way back home!

2017 新年快乐 / 新年快樂 (Xīnnián kuàilè) 'New Year happiness!'

Happy Chinese New Year!

May all your wishes come true

Chinese New Year 2017

New Year, or the “Spring Festival” as it is known in China, is the longest and most important holiday in China. The Chinese New Year 2017 begins on January 28, 2017. The Chinese New Year’s festivities end two weeks later on the 15th day of the first month on what is known as the Lantern Festival.

During the Chinese New Year’s celebrations, there are many traditional activities, some local and others celebrated universally. The Chinese believe that as they enter a new year, they should start a new beginning. They clean their houses, pay off all of their debts, purchase new clothes, paint their doors, and even get new haircuts in order to have a fresh start for the new year.

Homes throughout China are decorated with special banners, many of which are red and gold; the traditional representations of happiness and prosperity.

One very fun tradition of the Chinese New Year is exchanging gifts. A traditional present that is given is small red envelopes filled with “lucky money”. These envelopes are given to children by their family and friends.

The dragon is a very popular symbol for the Chinese New Year. It is a symbol of strength and good luck. A Chinese New Year 2017 celebration would not be complete without a giant dragon parading down the street. The dragon costume is always very colorful and can be up to 100 feet long. People inside the costume make the dragon move up and down as it zigzags past the spectators.

During the Chinese New Year 2017 you will see fireworks and hear firecrackers! There are many beliefs about why fireworks are used. One belief is that the noise of the fireworks is supposed to scare away all evil spirits allowing the new year to begin without misfortunes.

Do You Do What You Do Do Well? Is it What You Dreamed of Doing?

.

Did you ever wonder if you just spent your entire life living your back up plan? Here you are, however old you might be or however young you might think you are at a good time in life to think about serendipitous and sentimental stuff.

If you did get stuck doing what was expected of you, or sacrificed your dreams to help other people with theirs', then you know what I am talking about.

Somewhere in the attic of your upstairs playground your dreams patiently wait. Way back in the cobwebs of your mind can be found the innocence of youth, your first dreams of what you wanted to do with your life. Then you had to go out and face life.

Over the years I have explored those attics in a whole lot of people's minds and most people seem to be living the back up plan - not their own true dreams.

That's okay. It was what you thought was the best decision for you at the time. As time went by you found yourself giving up more and more of your first dreams for others.

To me the result is you eventually are spending most of your time living the back up plan. Now in spite of this rather negative perspective on my part I am a card carrying member of the eternal optimists "hall of fame".

I figure if we are as young as I think I am, there is still time to get those first dreams out of the attic and live them. If we do we can feel a sense of fulfillment that might otherwise have never been felt in your life.

Most likely the biggest dreams you gave up were being a star or hero. Instead you chose to lead a life of ambiguity and obscurity.

Come on, admit it, there was a time you wanted to be recognized, for doing something really heroic.

I wanted to do a lot of heroic things. First I was going to be a famous writer influencing people like Mark Twain who actually grew up about 80 miles from where I lived. Close enough for me to immerse myself during numerous visits to his home, cave and Mighty Mississippi River in Hannibal, Missouri.

Then I was going to be the next Sherlock Holmes dazzling Scotland Yard with my deductive reasoning while solving the most dastardly of cases.

Next I was going to be a star of the New York Yankees with my statue in Yankees Monument Park next to Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Yogi Berra and the gang.

After winning a few state baseball championships that was replaced by being the next Buddy Holly, a new icon in rock 'n roll music, and sharing my stories with people through music. Maybe one like Aristotle or Plato, whose influence is still being felt this day, 2,500 years since they taught in Greece.

There was a point when I changed course completely and decided on life as a dedicated Monk, a teacher and scholar who discovers amazing new insights from Divine Providence.

Then came my materialism era when I thought I was a prodigy of the powerful House of Rothschild in England and just about every where else. I dismissed the fact I was living in a small town in Iowa and figured there was a mistake at birth, I was sent to the wrong place and the wrong parents.

This influenced my next dream or obsession of attending Yale in the Ivy League, a place I just knew I belonged, but after visiting Yale and meeting the kids and feeling the pressure they lived under I opted for the University of Arizona in Tucson.

There were a lot of other dreams as well but you get the idea. In time, I came to the conclusion that I just wanted to do a lot of things, experience a lot of life, and help people along the way.

Years later I realized I blew it. Once upon a time in high school I did have a really good rock 'n roll band that had a lot of future promise. But I gave up my Buddy Holly dream for another dream at the time.

Now that I am older and wiser, take that with a grain of salt, I intend to finish what I started so long ago. I've written many songs, recorded rough cuts of them, went to Nashville and recorded really good versions of some, and realized I could have been doing that all my life.

Back in high school one of the reasons I gave up the Buddy Holly dream was I did not want to play cover songs, songs other artists released, but wanted to do my own stuff. My own stories were just as poignant as anything other people were recording. Then I took stock in my life and decided I must be crazy, I haven't lived long enough to have many interesting stories to tell. I decided to collect the material for the songs before I worried about the career in music. Been doing that ever since.

My point is this. It is never too late to go back and pursue your first dreams. The biggest regret people have shared with me was never being able to do what they really wanted to do in life. They feared going to their grave wondering what might have been.

So don't, especially if your dreams might have helped people. Do the things you always wanted to do with no guilt about giving it a try. You may very well find that you were given gifts that you never shared but by now sharing you can help other people with their lives.

There is no higher purpose than helping others. But sometimes you must help yourself before you can help others. Take a chance. Have a little faith and self-confidence and the world may still be waiting for you. You really can get through life without wondering might have been.

If you do, I hope you will write and share the experiences with me so I can share them with others. Never forget that we are all in this together.
