Are You Ready for Election Day and the End of the Dark Side of the American Soul?

.

This inexplicable presidential campaign will end in less than thirty days and become one for the history books.  Think about that.

History is nothing but content interpreted by people - people with an agenda.  In order to understand history you must first know the motive, intent, or bias of the author.

What has overwhelmed the news media for the past two years, the presidential race to succeed Barack Obama and his presidency, has its consequences.

Perhaps half of the voter-eligible public pays little or no attention to the news media and the same might be said about what happens within the beltway in Washington, DC, our capital.

The other half following the campaign, have created an atmosphere of polarization, mistrust, bias, or even hatred, so extreme, the wounds may be far too deep to heal.  At times, it feels as if we are in the last years of an empire, like the Roman Empire.

History says most empires that fail or fall, will find the end preceded by a period of the breakdown of institutions, the loss of morality and ethics, and a period where greed, lust, and power superseded love, compassion, and truth.

It is a time when people become complacent, leaving the future of the world in the hands of others to fret over.  They pay no attention to the news media because people know they do not tell the truth.  People become self-absorbed while ignoring the world outside their private domain.

When such darkness overshadows the empire, what do the good people do to stop it?  Do they take to the streets to protest the dark forces?  No, back in the Roman days they went to the Colosseum to watch the lions murder the innocent Christians and others - and they cheered!

Today, in our darkest hours, when we have the responsibility to create the history about these times, what will we do?

Make no mistake, whether you are involved or complacent in this election, you are responsible for the outcome.  Well, make that you and Yale University, that venerable Ivy League institution.  A Yale University graduate has been president for twenty of the past twenty-eight years.  The only other president was Obama from Harvard.

If Hillary wins, Yale wins again.  Trump, to the astonishment of many, is also Ivy League but from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce of Pennsylvania University.

If you do not register to vote, apathy wins.  If you vote third party you help Trump.  If you vote Clinton, you are satisfied with establishment control.  As for Trump, well vote for him and you show disgust with the whole establishment, bureaucracy thing.

Should either candidate be as bad as the people seem to think, the empire then comes to an end.

You are living a moment in history certain to be part of future History books about the worst of times in America.  When you read them a few decades from now, you, and only you, will know the truth.

The Wrath of Matthew Strikes Down the Meekest of the Meek in Haiti

.

Hurricane Matthew live: Horror storm kills 842 after battering Haiti and US with 100mph winds ripping through Florida
·         Updated 18:50, 7 Oct 2016
·         By Steve Robson , John Shammas , Jon Dean

The United States is braced as the first Atlantic hurricane to hit since 2007 brings tornadoes and a 12ft storm surge.
More than three million people have been evacuated from Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina as Hurricane Matthew hits.

The biggest storm in a century is set to hit around 26 million people with President Obama declaring a state of emergency and mobilising thousands of National Guard troops.
At least 842 people have already been killed as Matthew swept through Haiti, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas.
At least 175 people died in villages clustered among the hills and coast of Haiti’s western tip.
At least three towns reported dozens of fatalities, including the farming village of Chantal, where the mayor said 86 people perished, mostly when trees crushed houses. He said 20 others were missing.
“A tree fell on the house and flattened it, the entire house fell on us. I couldn’t get out,” said driver Jean-Pierre, 27, who had been married for only a year.
“People came to lift the rubble, and then we saw my wife who had died in the same spot,” Jean-Donald said, his young daughter by his side, crying “Mommy.”

US Navy heads to Haiti
The USS Mesa Verde, a US Navy amphibious transport dock ship, is steaming toward Haiti to support relief efforts after Hurricane Matthew killed more than 500 people and left thousands homeless in the Caribbean country.
A Navy spokesman said the ship would bring a large set of capabilities, including three CH-53 heavy lift helicopters, bulldozers and fresh water delivery vehicles.
The ship can produce 72,000 gallons of fresh potable water per day and is stocked with pallets of food, medicine, baby formula, diapers, first aid supplies and other key items.
The ship has a surgical team which can work out of two operating rooms on board.

Death toll rises to 842
The death toll has now risen to 842, according to reports.
It is reported that the deaths count the lives lost in Haiti and the United States.
President Obama has signed a state of emergency for Georgia, Florida and South Carolina mobilising thousands of National Guard troops as the storm hits the Florida coastline.

Oil and gasoline terminals shut
Most oil and gasoline terminals along the south eastern coast in the United States have been shut as a result of Hurricane Matthew.
Those terminals will be key for bringing fuel to retail gasoline stations shuttered by the storm once the hurricane passes.
Gasoline distributors across Florida are scrambling to supply crews working to restore power to areas hit by the hurricane.

'This is still a really dangerous hurricane'
Here’s more from Obama as he addressed reporters earlier today...

I just want to emphasise to everybody that this is still a really dangerous hurricane, that the potential for storm surge, loss of life and severe property damage exists and people continue to need to follow the instructions of their local officials over the next 24, 48, 72 hours.

Hurricane Matthew

Hurricane Matthew: Hundreds dead in Haiti storm disaster
The death toll in Haiti as a result of Hurricane Matthew - the most powerful Caribbean storm in a decade - has soared to more than 400, officials say.
Some 50 people were reported killed in the town of Roche-a-Bateau alone
The nearby city of Jeremie saw 80% of its buildings levelled. In Sud province 30,000 homes were destroyed.
Category Three Matthew, with sustained winds of 120mph (193km/h), is heading up the coastline of the US state of Florida but has not made landfall.
It remains unclear whether it will do so.
At 08:00 local time (12:00 GMT) Matthew was off the Florida coast, about 45 miles east of Daytona Beach and moving north-west at about 13mph, the National Hurricane Center said.

Hurricane Matthew Defies Experts - Recharges and heads for Land - the Latest Images - A Frightening Weather Anomaly

.

As the following charts disclose, the weather people have no clue what Hurricane Matthew might do over the next few days but the range of potential is outrageous.  We could be facing the worst October hurricane in nearly 70 years on the East Coast and the Northeast could very well face the brunt of it.

Did you notice no warnings from Virginia to New York?  There are millions of people vulnerable to the storm and if you look at the latest charts, they remain out of harm's way.  It is wrong, wrong, wrong.

Beware of the wrath of ___ and the possibilities for supernatural purification.

That is my weather report today.
